Our Best Convention Ever!!!

Enthusiasm was abundant as more than 420 long-term care workers from Washington and Montana took part in the Fifth Annual SEIU Healthcare 775NW Annual Convention and Leadership Conference at SeaTac, WA Sept. 14-15.

Members were treated to exciting speeches from Washington Governor Chris Gregoire, former US Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (Obama’s national campaign co-chair), SEIU Executive Vice President Mary Kay Henry, and our own president, David Rolf.

In what David Rolf called “our best event ever,” participants learned about how they can become more active in our union by joining Leaders in Action. Participants were trained as Member Political Organizers, Greeters, Recruiters, Hosts and Bulletin Board Decorators. (More information on Leaders in Action will be posted on our website soon!!)
