SEIU Healthcare 775NW caregivers and Amicable have approved our next union contract, with raises, more paid time off, and great health care.
Raises & New Wage Scales!
There will be a $0.25/hour increase to all steps of the wage scale on July 1, 2007, and another $0.25/hour increase on July 1, 2008.
Hourly Scale from 7/1/2007 to 6/30/2008:
Step A (0-2,000 hrs) $9.85
Step B (2,001-4,000 hrs) $9.95
Step C (4,001-6,000 hrs) $10.05
Step D (6,001-8,000 hrs) $10.15
Step E (8,001-10,000 hrs) $10.25
Step F (10,001-12,000 hrs) $10.35
Step G (12,001-14,000 hrs) $10.45
Step H (14,001+ hrs) $10.55
Hourly Scale from 7/1/2008 to 6/30/2009:
Step A (0-2,000 hrs) $10.10
Step B (2,001-4,000 hrs) $10.20
Step C (4,001-6,000 hrs) $10.30
Step D (6,001-8,000 hrs) $10.40
Step E (8,001-10,000 hrs) $10.50

No New Costs for Health, Dental, Prescription Drug & Vision!
Health care plans will continue to be provided through the Health Benefits Trust, which includes your choice of Premera Blue Cross or Group Health. The total premium cost is still $17 per month. No annual deductible and low copays. There is no additional cost for dental and vision care. If you work at least 20 hours per week, you qualify.
In-Service Educational Meetings!
Amicable will hold educational meetings four times each year to help caregivers learn more skills to help their clients. This will be a fun way to both help your clients and get to know your fellow caregivers!
Professional Training!
Amicable will contribute to a new statewide training fund to increase the amount of training caregivers receive, improve caregiving skills and build a professional career ladder. The training system starts in 2010.
More Paid Time Off!
Caregivers will now earn 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked! Workers can also cash-out their paid time off at any time.
