A Great First Union Contract!
The SEIU Healthcare 775NW caregivers bargaining team and ResCare/Armstrong have approved our first union contract, with raises, increased mileage and great health care.
Raises & Wage Scale that Rewards Experience!
We won $0.25/hour raises July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2008. In addition, all current employees will be placed one step higher on the scale on July 1, 2007 – equal to another $0.10/hour raise!

Step B 2,001-4,000 hrs $10.00
Step C 4,001-6,000 hrs $10.10
Step D 6,001-8,000 hrs $10.20

Fully Employer Paid L&I Premiums!
Workers will no longer have L&I deducted from their paychecks. This is like another 15 cents per hour raise!

Professional Training!
ResCare/Armstrong will also contribute to a new training partnership fund to improve training, build a career ladder and achieve professional certification. This year ResCare/Armstrong will have our own on-the-job educational “in services”.
More Pay for CNAs
CNAs will be placed two steps higher on the wage scale!
Increased Mileage!
Starting July 1, 2007, mileage reimbursement goes up to 36 cents per mile. Starting July 1, 2008, mileage reimbursement will go up again to 58.5 cents.
Paid Time Off
Starting July 1, 2007, ResCare/Armstrong workers will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked!
Fair Way To Get More Hours!
ResCare/Armstrong will begin tracking caregiver requests for additional hours, matching client needs and caregiver qualifications on the schedule.
